The LOFT is concept to make libraries more relevant and important in today's society. it's central idea is to make the library a cultural center of the community. It features private and group workspaces called Pods, outfitted with technology allowing the user to write notes on the wall and transfer their work to their laptops. It also features library cards equiped with RFID readers. When attached to the library PDA's, the cards guide the user to their desired book. It also features a cafe and an extensive multimedia library.
