After the disaster of Hurricane Katrina, a massive migration of refugees began all across the country. While many relief efforts were made to ensure the financial and physical stablity of the victims, little was mentioned of possible issues concerning mental health. UCLA therefore started a project to promote awareness of possible post-traumatic mental effects.
With this project, I considered the fact that many of the victims would be unaffected by pamphlets and other forms of informational media that were available at the time and designed a series of posters meant to be displayed in public spaces such as on construction barriers and bus stops.
