I definitely picture myself using tools like these. It is interesting that whenever there is a threat to privacy or other personal freedoms, tools and innovations to combat these encroachments appear. There is a strange evolutionary-arms-race-like feel to these innovations, and there is always an interesting dialogue and exchange. For example, when online retailers began to use discount promo codes, making purchases cheaper for others, buyers retaliated with scripts such as "Honey" which democratize this system by pooling promo codes publically.

I find it particularly interesting that when it comes to issues of security and privacy, the precautions taken, if done properly, will almost never yield any tangible feedback. In fact, it will most likely result in a lack of feedback, a lack of response. This is strangely paradoxical, preparing for something that might never be a threat or might not even exist.
