dappled fields: an interpretation/realization of the graphic score by Sydney Wallace Stegall. the score was literally translated into sound by mapping the x direction as time, the y direction as frequency, and the added color as timbre. when the resulting recording is analyzed with a spectrogram, the score reappears. click here for larger images.
