2007 Digital Video Installation, Digital Photographs

Like characters of heroism or tragedy, the figures in these works find themselves in distorted realities, temporal architectures which free or control them. The body becomes impossible. Locked into loops and image sequences, the figures lose their history. The videos and photographs are expressions of a longing for escape and transformation. They expose futility and frustration in a romantic desire for freedom from biology, control and commodification.
