I used IFTTT to control thermostat at my house in Colorado every time a new picture was added to my camera roll. Since I am not at my house in Colorado I knew I wasn't going to be able to see the result of it. I tried to not alter my actions at all and take extra pictures or anything to trigger the thermostat. I mostly just tried to forget about it and see if anyone from my family would say anything about it. I also didn’t realize that if would work if I took a screenshot on my phone. So after taking screenshots of a long text thread and saving a few snapchats to my camera roll, my dad called me and asked me why the Nest account was logged in to from Los Angeles. I told him I had no idea and quickly deleted the applet.
