Assignment: Research 3 symbols and the messages they carry. How do these symbols successfully communicate a message?

My fascination with Cairns evolved with my love of the outdoors and hiking. Until I started to research this assignment, I could never place a name to these manmade symbols found in nature. So I hope to explore this phenomenon and powerful symbol found in the depths of the woods and atop the highest mountains.
