Extremely interesting article since I have visited Cuba myself, and experienced trouble with internet as soon as I got there. Although I feel like traveling without internet would give better traveling experience to people since internet usage can often take our attention away from actually seeing the environment around us, I was actually surprised to see people with their phone in their hands all the time just to get connection with public wifi all around parks or just on the streets. Cuba’s trouble with network also reminded me of China. I lived in China for a year and was completely unaware that Chinese government blocks so many access to foreign sites such as Facebook or youtube. This article helped me acknowledge the internet revolution Cuba is going through, and also made me think if internet unites people or not.
