(Un)identicle Pairs. 2006

(Un)Identical Pairs is a twist on the popular card game "Pairs" also know as the Memory game in the United States. As a child I often played this game with friends, matching up pairs of foods that were printed on a set of picture cards.
In this version, I have replaced the usual content of picture cards with a series of people. However, in this set of cards you will not discover any identical pairs. As the title suggests, each playing card is unique and as a result it is open to the players to decide which cards can be paired together and those that cannot.

As a consequence of playing this game, each player is forced to think about the many categorisations that exist in their mind and draw relationships between them. These categories may include but are not limited to, sex, age, ethnicity, looks, hair colour, clothing, wealth, relationship, weight, occupation, e.t.c
