DATE OF BIRTH is a two part poster series and a process book based on events that happened on my date of birth - October 25, 1989, and my most recent birthday - October 25, 2010. The challenge was to find a connection between the events and to tell a story using typography and imagery for the printed material.

OCTOBER 25 1989 is a poster detailing events that happened on the day of my birth. The infographic compares events locally in San Francisco, nationally in the US, and internationally. The poster focuses on the theme of cause and effect due to the promixity of the 1989 SF earthquake to my birth and similarly disastrous events happening across the globe.
THE SAME THINGS KEEP HAPPENING is an infographic poster that compares the events that happened on my date of birth with the events of my latest birthday to analyze whether or not the world has changed. Similar events occurred on both dates, the majority related to natural disasters, except the gravity of the more recent events was more powerful.
