I enjoyed drawing since very young. I was frequently inspired by comics, fantasy and science fiction stories. College and later research limited the amount of time I could spend on this hobby. However, during the fall of 2004 I took a course called "Advanced Drawing" at the COVA (Commission of Visual Arts) of the University of Chicago, with Drew Beattie as instructor. The course dealt with the definition and meaning of drawing, and there I learned new expression possibilities which changed the way I draw. In the summer of 2005 I took another art course, this time at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. This course was "Color Theory and Applications", taught by Thomas Gianni, and focused in the use of watercolor to familiarize with the possibilities and technical aspects of color.
